As many of you know one of my employees’ daughter, Taylor, suffered a severe spinal cord injury on January the 13th of this year in a sledding accident. She has since been diagnosed with Paraplegia.

The doctors are not giving her a very good prognosis at this time. Her family is currently expecting another 6-8 weeks of “in hospital” therapy and months of outpatient therapy.

This page is my attempt to help make this time in their family’s life easier. Taylor is going to turn 14 this Saturday the 29th and she will be doing so from a hospital room.

Will you be willing to help make this time easier for Taylor and her family? Will you consider making a small donation so we can purchase some things to help her pass the time?

Johnny is more than an employee to me and my family. He is also my friend.

He has been a partner with me through all the ups and downs of my business. His dedication and hard work has never wavered during this economic downturn. If anyone has shown their faith in me it has been Johnny. He has been one of the most encouraging people in my life over the last 10 years.

Will you help me to make this time easier on him by donating to this cause? It’s our goal with these donations to purchase some things for Taylor that will really help her. She is going to need a custom wheel chair as well as home modifications.

We would like to purchase a DSi for her as well as some games. If enough donations come in we would even like to get her some kind of a starter laptop to help her with her school work and just some entertainment time.

Please consider making a small donation on her behalf?

I was injured in a snowmobile accident 4 years ago while on vacation in Colorado. I was only 28 at the time and also spent my birthday in the hospital. I know how difficult the situation is and will continue to be. Please let Taylor and her family know that I am here for any questions they might have. Or if they just need someone to speak with about living in a wheelchair. angie.florine@gmail.com

Hi my name is Sam Frerking. I live in Oak Grove. My father works for Ferell Gas and they found out about Taylor and would like to help. Since they know my father has us who live in Oak Grove they kind of put him in charge, was just wondering who he could get a hold of so that the company could make a donation?

Dawn, I shared your comment with Johnny and Taylor today. Taylor is doing well. She is currently learning how to use forearm crutches so she can get around easier.
