Why I follow Andy Traub

Andy and I have been friends for almost two years now. We first met through Free Agent Academy right after he launched his technology related business.

Andy is the personification of the statement, “Don’t let perfect get in the way of good enough”.

Andy gets stuff done. Constantly trying new ideas in his business nothing stands in his way. When you put yourself out there like Andy does there is a long list of people who will spend their energy telling you what’s wrong with what you are doing.

Andy doesn’t let this stand in his way. He knows that the path to success is littered with trial and error. While others stand in judgement Andy knows that with every idea, he is pushing his business and ultimate success forward.

Why I follow Rufus Dogg

Photo Credit: The Most Literate Dog On The Net

Welcome to my own version of Twitter’s Follow Friday mania. I got kind of tired of how boring it is to just type “#FF” and a few user names with no real reason for anyone following me to actually follow someone I recommend.

I don’t get to spread the word about as many people this way but at least this way you get at least a more robust reason to follow somone I’m suggesting.

I’ve been following Rufs Dogg and his blog for the past several weeks. I got started because I had heard about “Let’s Blog Off” and decided to join. Rufus helps come up with the bi-weekly subjects and, with the exception of this week’s topic which was too hard for a simpleton like myself, does a very good job.

Why I follow Carl V.

Stainless Steel Droppings

Carl and I met about 15 years ago when he moved back to Kansas City from Tulsa, OK. Some family in common brought us together but our passion for some of the same things turned us into friends.

Carl has been a witness to pretty much everything that has happened to me in my adult life as well as I have been with him. We have enjoyed hours of conversation, steak, movies and video games. Probably one of the absolutely easiest people to be around I’ve ever known. He has been a source of encouragement for me as well as a sounding board for many an idea over the years. I can always count on him to be there with an open ear and a voice of reason and understanding.

I don’t really need to make a list like I have in the past. I’ll just hit on some reasons why I think following him is well worth your time.

Why I follow Julie Dibben

Wife, mother and friend.

Julie and I met almost 22 years ago.

I was 18 and she was 17. We were going to the same youth group. In typical fashion I was completely oblivious to the fact that she even liked me. I was too busy playing basketball, with my friends.

I had actually given up on women (I know, I was so old and had such experience!). Anyway, one of our mutual friends came up to me and let me know she liked me. Being the suave and debonair man that I was, I started to stalk her.

Honestly, that’s probably what she thought, at first. I followed her to McDonald’s a couple of times to, you know, creep… I mean, impress her. At first she was a little perplexed at what was going on. Heck, she didn’t even know my name yet. She and her friends were still calling me, “That Blain Guy” after some dude they thought I looked like. Obviously, romance was in the air…..

Why I follow Kent Julian

Kent Julian and Family

Kent Julian, to know him is to love him. Can it really be that simple? Yes, I think it can.

I first met Kent a couple of years ago during an event at Dan Miller’s place. Kent was there to lead a session about public speaking.  Kent makes his living doing this and really enjoys teaching it to others.

As was the case with so many others that weekend I felt an instant connection to Kent. He put on an amazing workshop as he helped us understand the importance of verbal communication.

So, why do I follow Kent Julian?

Why I Follow Brent Green

I’m sure most of us can only count on one hand a friendship we’ve had that developed overnight. Such is the case with Brent Green and myself. We met over at 48days.net and found out within a week that we lived in the same area and didn’t waste any time getting together. The result? Instant friendship.

Okay, so here are the reasons I follow Brent Green.
