About James

Hi, I’m James, creator of Blue Collar Living.

Just like you I have experienced my share of life’s storms.

My strategy for surviving the storms of life has been two fold. They are my faith in Christ and my commitment to hard work.

I believe that many Christians are waiting on God to do something in their lives. They would describe this as faith.

I believe that faith goes much deeper than that. In the book of James, chapter 2 and verse 26 the author tells us, “For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”

Faith, without action really isn’t faith.

The bible is replete with stories of people being told by God to take action so His faithfulness can be displayed. God didn’t start the rain till the last animal was loaded onto the Ark. The waters of the Red Sea didn’t part until Moses raised his staff. Naaman wasn’t healed of his leprosy until his seventh dip into the Jordan river.

This blog is dedicated to the concept that it takes faith and hard work to make your way through this life. I write about business, leadership, faith, my personal life and so much more. If you are looking to connect with other hard working men and women of faith then you have come to the right place!

Want to know more? Here are some of the interviews I’ve done around the web.

You will hear me mention being a business coach in these interviews. That’s just one of the many things I’ve tried over the years. This blog was originally started as my home for business coaching. I have since moved on but I believe there is still plenty that I have to offer you through my personal story.

[...] Well this is a first for me, instead of writing down my thoughts, I did a 30 minute podcast with James Dibben of the Blue Collar Coaching & Radio Network. James is a pretty interesting guy who not only still puts on the tool belt, but decided back in March to try to help other contractors out in his own way. Instead of trying to explain it, I think it is just best if you read his own Blue Collar Story. [...]
