035 – “Use Twitter To Grow Your Influence” with guest Nick Lovelady

On this week’s show Nick Lovelady joins me again to talk Twitter.

He shares with us how he got started using twitter and how he manages the 1,798 (currently) people he follows. Nick explains that 58% of the people on twitter make over $60k per year.

He explains the age demographic to us, as follows…

45% are 18-34

24% areĀ 35-49

14% areĀ 50+

His point is that kids don’t use Twitter. This is an adults world and one that, if utilized correctly, can be leveraged for further growth professionally.

Here is a list of the tools that Nick uses to manage his twitter usage.

twittergrader.com

who.unfollowed.me

friendorfollow.com

tweetstats.com

twittercounter.com

search.twitter.com

klout.com

hootsuite.com

In case you didn’t know I also did some screen cast videos on using Hootsuite that you may want to watch.

Part 1

Part 2

Here are a few reasons Nick uses to NOT follow.
-Follows too many people
-Has too many followers
-Only self promote
