017 – Quitting In The Dip

Episode 017 – Quitting In The Dip

Ryan, in Canada sends us our very first Voice Mail feed back! You have got to love those Canadians! I get a majority of my feedback from them. They must really love business and serving others up there!

Ryan wants to know who else I recommend for podcast listening. Here is my list (in no particular order).

The rest of the show is dedicated to a seldom discussed book by Seth Godin called The Dip.

I explain how I used this book last year to help me decide to continue through The Dip and this week I used this book to help me decide to close my construction business. Yes, you heard me right, I have decided to close Builders Installation Group and pursue employment through other means.

This isn’t a time to be sad or depressed but get excited to find out how I can help another business be outstanding!

    James,
Just finished listening to this episode. Sorry to hear that you’ve had to quit the business, but it’s great that you’re not down about it, and that you’re looking forward the next steps. I’d love to hear updates on your show, it keeps you knowable.

Should I include them in this show or would you be interested in a separate one? This second show would probably be real short 5-10-15 minutes at the very most. You would be able to subscribe in iTunes or RSS or however you like.

Thanks for stopping by the site!

I see your concern about diluting the show with filler others aren’t interested in. And that’s valid.
What exactly would the content of this other show be? Simply your next career move updates? That might be fine just posted on your blog.

Well, I was really thinking about creating an audio journal, actually. It would start out as a way to keep everyone updated on where I am in this journey but it would continue after I settle in somewhere. (I think, lol)

This would be a 5-10 minute show. No fluff of any kind and likely to be very personal in nature as the show moved forward.
